The first launch decides a lot: a few questions produce a plan that fits goal, time and level, and the first workout starts right away. After that, what counts is that the app makes change visible — sets, weights, measurements, training days.

Reminders only work when they match the user's habits rather than firing at the same time every day. And the plan has to give: someone who misses a week gets a way back in, not a red bar.

Digital content inside the app is sold through Apple's and Google's purchase systems; both keep a commission. That belongs in the pricing plan before prices are communicated. We manage subscriptions with trials, annual discounts and win-back offers through a subscription service, so status and access match on both platforms.

Personal training and other real-world services fall outside that rule and can run through a normal payment provider. We settle the distinction before design, because it defines the purchase flow.

Exercise videos are usually the biggest cost outside development — and the one you supply yourself. We build the structure behind them: an exercise library with muscle groups, equipment and difficulty, from which plans are assembled without an app update for every change.

Data from watches and trackers comes through HealthKit and Health Connect. It is worth doing when the app actually does something with heart rate, steps or sleep. As a pure display it is effort without effect.

For the first release FlutterFlow is usually enough: plans, tracking, subscription, store launch for iOS and Android from one codebase. Custom Flutter code pays off once real-time features, elaborate animations or custom players come in — the two can be combined.
